I have just read the amazing story of Martha’s NeverSeconds blog. What an inspiration this young girl is and I was so pleased to read that celebrities, such as Jamie Oliver, got behind her and provided encouragement and support. This just goes to show the power of ICT.
This reminded me somewhat of Malala Yousafzai, the girl who was shot in the face by the Taliban. Now I know it’s a completely different story, but without the power of ICT, many people would never have heard her story and her passion for girls to be educated may have gone unheard.
These amazing stories inspire me and although I will never be able to tread in their footsteps, I hope somewhere in the future, my increasing passion to teach about the wonders of ICT, will inspire others.
